My precious

It`s good to have some precious quick and easy recipes on hand for those mornings when all your plans end up in chaos and at 11h45 you are thinking about what the.... you could whip up for lunch now!

So..

..take a piece of Gorgonzola cheese, put it in a sauce pan and ad 2-3 tablespoons of white wine.

On low heat leave the cheese melting to become a perfect creamy sauce.

Meanwhile

you cook your pasta until al dente,

then

pour the sauce over the pasta and serve

pronto!

Of course, with some black pepper sparkled over it.

And as we all know we need some green stuff too. ..

(or in this case its orange...)

...Anyway...
Here we go:

( kmhm, kmh this should be done before the whole pasta and sauce cooking...)

great some carrots,
add corn kernels
and a hand full of chopped nuts.

For the sauce:

Mix the juice of one orange with cream or vegetable oil ( NO olive oil in this case)

Add a pinch of salt AND sugar.

Mix well.

Enjoy!

For the dessert,
indulge yourself with some precious fabric you found in your mail box.

This is AVA ROSE by TANYA WHELAN for Free Spirit. I ordered for my Quilting Bee month.

Precious

P.S.: Yes I do love my mail box at the moment ;)

For sunny days

My daughter asked me to make a skirt

with ruffles.

She did not have to insist.

The fabric is Ginger Blossom from Sandi Henderson for Michael Miller. A lovely collection, perfect for sewing summer things :)

It is nice to see when things you create are well appreciated!

Today I made some lucky finds

First thing in the morning on a stroll trough the garden I discovered them,

Signs

At last!

Later,

on the way to the weekly farmers market in town I stopped at "my" thrift store and spotted some napkins with the most gorgeous appliqued flowers.
( And of course had to make them MINE! )

And then,

back home I found something in the mail box!

Happy making fabric goodness..

...that I ordered from Spoonflower a while ago.

The design is by Kajsa @ SYKO

Make yourself comfortable with a nice cup of whatever you like when visiting her blog and forget about the plans you had...

I`m completely smitten with those apples and I think I will wait a long time before cutting in these sweeties!
( ... did have some plans tough...)

Enjoy your day

About a good time

Our home for the week

Living room

Kitchen

Some views

Bathroom....
... Nooo comment here...

The Guest house

Enjoying the sunset in front of the hut

No comment here either....

And this is our little man

before

the downhill race of the ski school....

...and after!

( You do hear drum rolls and fanfares here of course...no?
Olympic games 2026, we are preparing...;) )

Back home I made the two February blocks for the Quilting Bee.
Maria asked to make a disappearing nine patch pattern.

She selected different Christmas themed fabric to make a nice quilt for the next season.

Have a good week-end!

P.S.: I made two potholders out of the started granny squares. We were in need of some up in the hut.

Granny squares

Yesterday I made my first 2 granny squares.
( after spending several hours watching the tutorials on you tube..)

Wow,
this is fun and rewarding!

I have no plans for them, but it is just the right project to take with me for our stay in the mountains.

We have an alpine hut witch we can visit in the winter month. ( I already spent my winter holidays there as a kid)
During summer it is home to a herdsman who comes up with his cows.

No electricity,

No current water inside,
just a fountain outside with VERY fresh water.

Beautiful views, silence, snow, simple pleasures, good times ahead!

So in the evenings there will be much time to do some crochet....

Picture will follow later...

Have a good time!

Each and every year it`s the same

I don`t need a calendar to know when February is here.

Even knowing the facts,

I suddenly have this desire of gardening.

Can`t stop thinking about what to plant and eventually change in the garden.

I see

Colourful flowerbeds!

Vegetables growing in abundance!

(Here you are allowed to laugh out loud,
this is more a dream than ever going to be reality...)

But then, all I can do is bring the feeling of spring, flower and garden in the house.

I`m absolutely unable to pass beside the gardening department in the shopping mall without going inside to have a look,

loose control

and bring home some of the flower- power-happiness.

Mmhh...

So little investment to get so much to enjoy!

I hope you have something that brings happiness in your days!

This is what I wanted to show you:

Happy Sunday to all off you!
